My Little Pony Rainbow Dash hoodie by Bahzi My Little Pony Rainbow Dash hoodie by Bahzi
My project from the past couple weeks... Whew, that tail and mane was a bear, sewing rainbows is a huge pain! I'm pretty happy with how it came out though!

Hoodie is made from anti-pill fleece and high quality faux fur. The mane and tail snap on and off for washing, the hoodie itself (and wings!) are fully machine washer and dryer friendly.

The eyes and cutie mark are machine embroidered, and the wings have satin stitched feather details and contain super thick interfacing in them to keep their shape.

The hoodie zips in front with a matching heavy duty molded plastic zipper and has two front pockets.

COMMISSIONS ARE CLOSED.

Would the price be the same if it was a kids hoodie? also how much would it be if I commisioned this for like a Halloween costume?

:) The price would be a bit lower for a child sized hoodie, but due to the complexity of Rainbow Dash's mane and tail, I don't think I could complete and have it delivered to you before Halloween, my apologies!

Lets see... If you're trolling, try harder. If you're serious, then, no, most of who was asking about sizing were grown men/teenage boys.

A good customer? It sold for over $250.

A more serious answer? A Brony. Or if it were me (because I might make one for myself); a walking pride parade, because I'm gay :P

Aw, well thank you very much! Uh, many years of sewing cosplay costumes and energy drinks!

But seriously, the main hoodie body is made from a modified commercial pattern, and the patterns for things like the tail, wings, and mane I draw out myself on cardstock. I'm not very good at drawing, but I do have good spatial reasoning ability, so I can translate 2D images to 3D plush patterns fairly well. All the various pieces themselves I machine sew, but for attaching the ears and wings I use a tight whip stitch by hand to help hide the seams. I have a computerized embroidery machine that did the eyes and cutie mark. It has software that can convert images to stitches, and all you have to do is change the thread color when it tells you. Of course, getting an image clear and simple enough for the program to accept takes a lot of work in Photoshop and Corel Xdraw.

Sorry if that was too much info. XD

That would be worth getting my ass beat by homophobes to wear that. (rough neighborhood)

Too bad its too small, never any love for the big guys! Is this made from scratch, or a modified hoodie from a store?

Ha, I hear that! I'm queer as hell myself and still probably wouldn't wear it outside of a convention. My city is littered with rough neighborhoods, and it's conservative lik whoa. I'd be a walking hate crime target. :P

It's made from scratch. I typically make smaller sizes for auction because despite FiM having a sizable male fanbas, the majority is female, and a unisex small fits a high percentage of them, and also, my dressform is small and it's easier for patterning/photographing purposes. No size descrimination here, just pragmatism and market research. XD

Ha, I have the opposite problem, actually. Except for stores like American Eagle and Hollister (and Hot Topic), I have problems finding small enough men's clothing. Most things at cheaper stores are too large, so I end up dressing like a scene kid or hipster (nothing wrong with either style, I'm just not overly fond of them for myself) because nothing else fits. XD

I got a place called Shopper's world near my work you would love. I dunno what country these close are made in, but they sure as hell arn't american sizes. I put on a 3x and it fit me like a medium. Couldn't breath, and was tighter than spandex. Even the 5x i found was uncomfortable. And I normally am quite comfy in a 2x.

This is amazing, you could probably get a lot more advertisement if you submitted this to Eqd, it would likely end up in the roundup. People (ponies?) love buying things from the round up.

(looks at wallet) not today my friend...not today...
